Haband Sortation Upgrade goes live
Invar Systems Announces GO-LIVE of IWS Sortation Solution Upgrade for Cross Belt Sorter at Haband, Inc. Direct to Consumer Fulfillment Operation
Invar Systems, a global provider of Warehouse Software and Integrated Solutions, today announces the successful GO-LIVE of a sortation control upgrade for a cross belt sorter at Haband’s Eatonton, GA Direct to Consumer Fulfillment operation. This sortation control upgrade includes complete PLC upgrade of machine level control as well as new sortation system software based on Invar’s IWS Sortation Control Software.
With the IWS Sortation Control Software product, Invar Systems is capable of providing new and improved sortation functions for Greenfield installations and existing sites. Adding a machine control upgrade offering to that provides a more complete sortation machine upgrade.
The cross belt sorter at Haband was originally installed in the 1990’s. The upgrade was performed to solve two critical issues. First, the machine and system controls were based on technologies that are not well supported. With the sorter serving as the heart of this fulfillment operation, this equipment and support obsolescence represented significant risk to the operation. Second, the needs of the business had changed since the sorter was originally installed and Haband needed a more flexible and feature rich sortation control solution to meet those needs.
